Reclaiming the Promise of Rancho Cucamonga
A Message from Your Candidate for Mayor
My fellow Rancho Cucamonga neighbors, In 1985, my family made a definitive choice. We moved to Rancho Cucamonga because of a promise—a promise written into the Planned Community and Etiwanda Specific Plans. It promised us premier schools, vibrant parks, a thriving local business environment, and safe neighborhoods rigorously patrolled by the San Bernardino County Sheriff. For years, our children thrived under this common-sense approach to development. The City’s original General Plan didn't just build roads and houses; it created a welcoming, prosperous environment where families could plant deep roots.
Lately, however, we have watched that original promise drift away. I am stepping out of the sidelines and putting my hat in the ring for Mayor because I refuse to watch our hard-earned progress slide backward. We are facing a critical turning point, and it is time for leadership that stops repeating bad habits and starts making the hard, right decisions for our future. The Downward Cycle We Must Reverse:
Overdevelopment and Density: Our community’s growth has drifted drastically away from the sensible, balanced limits of the original master plans that made us love this city in the first place. Declining Public Safety: We used to proudly rank as the second-safest city (FBI Part I /Population). Today, tracking indicators show our ranking slipping down to 4th or 5th. We need transparent data and a firm re-commitment to keeping our streets safe. 6000 new homes in North Etiwanda and 6000 new homes next door to Etiwanda HS/EIS or 24,000 more cars in the A.M. and then in the P.M.
Overcrowded Classrooms: Our schools are feeling the heavy strain of rapid development. Classroom overcrowding is rising, and student academic performance is lacking the support it deserves. The city needs to work in close conjuntion with school districts on school housing and site planning.
Loss of Small Businesses: The independent shops and local entrepreneurs who represent the heartbeat of our economy are quietly disappearing.
My Commitment to You: I am running because we need a leader with the extensive life and professional experience required to restore accountability to City Hall. Our children are the future generation, and they deserve the same high quality of life that brought my family here four decades ago.
We must return to sensible development, unwavering support for public safety, and a pro-small business climate. Together, as a community, we can reverse this downward cycle and bring common-sense management back to Rancho Cucamonga. Join me, and let’s make the hard right choices for our city.

Overcrowded School Sites and Student Housing - HS sample review.
To my friends in Etiwanda Estates Community and Alta Loma - the dangers and risks from high density development has been an issue of mine for years.
When Cal Trans conducted the Community Project review plans, at Chaffey College, I attended and lobbied for a depressed 210, due to the high winds that knock the trucks over and push cars out of their lanes. But more importantly, evacuation routes needed to be provided. Etiwanda was shown, but not EAST Ave. The need for East was to evacuate Summit Elementary school, and provide access for parents to the existing schools and future schools. The community input guided Cal Trans to recessed the freeway east of Day Creek, and placed a bridge on East Ave., to help with traffic, and evacuation. At the same time it provide a path for emergency vehicles (from neighboring cities) to head to combat the spread of fire across Etiwanda Estates Community and further west - Alta Loma.
We have had to pack twice, and prepare for evacution - we understand.
